Medical disclaimer

TEAMCROHNS IS NOT YOUR CARE TEAM.

The site helps people organize respectful community action. It does not diagnose, triage, prescribe, interpret symptoms, recommend treatment, or replace licensed professionals.

General information only

Content is provided for general community education and lived-experience context. It is not individualized medical, nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, mental-health, legal, disability-rights, or other professional advice.

No diagnosis or treatment direction

TeamCrohns does not decide what condition someone has, whether a symptom is safe, which medication or procedure is appropriate, whether care should change, or when a person should delay or stop treatment. Those decisions belong with qualified professionals who know the person’s circumstances.

Community actions are nonmedical

Offering a ride, errand, check-in, schedule adjustment, or quiet company does not make a supporter a clinician, caregiver, emergency service, or case manager. People must agree on practical details and appropriate safety.

Lived experience is not evidence for another person

Michael Jannicelli and future contributors may describe their own experiences. One person’s disease course, surgery, medication, diet, support system, body, work capacity, or outcome does not predict another person’s experience.

Emergency and crisis support

TeamCrohns does not monitor messages or provide urgent response. For a medical emergency, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call 911. For suicidal crisis or emotional distress in the United States, call or text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org.
